An overview of booking conditions, cancellation, arrival and liability.

1. Introduction

Welcome to Gökaskratts Camping. These terms apply between you and Camping Hovmantorp AB, which operates Gökaskratts Camping. By using our website and booking accommodation or services with us, you accept these terms and conditions. Please read the terms carefully before completing a booking.

2. Booking and payment

2.1 Booking

Bookings are made through our booking system or by contacting us directly. The booking is binding once you have received a confirmation from us.

2.2 Payment

Payment is made in accordance with the terms stated in the booking confirmation. We accept card payment, bank transfer and Swish.

Accommodation: Paid at the time of booking or as agreed
Restaurant: Paid on site, or in advance for catering
Activities: Paid in advance or on site, depending on the activity

2.3 Prices

All prices are in Swedish kronor (SEK) and include VAT unless otherwise stated. We reserve the right to change prices without prior notice.

3. Cancellation and changes

3.1 Cancellation of accommodation

Price options: We apply two price options when you book – FLEX and BAS. The applicable price option is shown at the time of booking.
FLEX rate: You can change or cancel your booking until 15:00 the day before arrival. If you cancel, the full booking amount is refunded except for an administrative fee of SEK 200.
BAS rate: No refund in the event of cancellation.
No-show: The full booking amount is charged.

3.2 Cancellation due to force majeure

In the event of extraordinary circumstances beyond our control that prevent your stay before arrival (natural disaster, pandemic, etc.), we primarily offer rebooking to a later date. If rebooking is not possible, the booking amount is refunded.

3.3 Changes

Changes to a booking are made subject to availability. Please contact us as soon as possible to change your booking.

4. Arrival and departure

4.1 Check-in

Accommodation: Check-in from 15:00
Camping pitches: Check-in from 15:00
Early check-in: Can sometimes be arranged for a fee, please ask at reception

4.2 Check-out

Accommodation: Check-out by 11:00 at the latest
Camping pitches: Check-out by 11:00 at the latest
Late check-out: Can sometimes be arranged for a fee, please ask at reception

4.3 Extending your stay

To extend your stay on a camping pitch, please contact reception by 11:00 on the same day to arrange this.

5. Rules during your stay

5.1 General rules

General order and quiet hours apply from 22:00 to 07:00
Pets are welcome on camping pitches and in camping cabins 6–9 (for a fee), but not in our other accommodation. Pets must be kept on a lead and supervised
Smoking is prohibited indoors in all buildings
The maximum vehicle length on camping pitches is 10 metres
The maximum number of guests per unit must not be exceeded

5.2 Liability

Guests are responsible for damage to cabins, tents and equipment. We reserve the right to charge for damage caused by guests.

5.3 Cleaning

Cleaning is included with normal use. A fee may be charged if additional cleaning is required on departure.

6. Services and activities

6.1 Availability

All activities and services are offered subject to availability and weather conditions. We reserve the right to change or cancel activities due to weather or other circumstances.

6.2 Safety

Guests must follow all safety instructions and directions from staff. Gökaskratts Camping is not liable for accidents that occur because guests have not followed the instructions given. The bathing area is unsupervised and swimming is at your own risk. The playground and bouncy castles are used at your own responsibility and under the supervision of a parent or guardian.

6.3 Fishing

Fishing in Lake Rottnen requires a fishing permit, which is purchased separately via iFiske. Rules, prices and age limits are set by the Rottnen fishery conservation area association (Rottnens fiskevårdsområdesförening) and may change – see iFiske for the current terms.

6.4 Third-party services

Some activities are provided by independent operators – e.g. canoe hire (Paddelkompaniet), fishing permits (iFiske/Rottnens fiskevårdsområdesförening) and tennis (Hovmantorps Tennisklubb). Booking, payment, rules and liability for these services are governed by the respective operator's terms. Gökaskratts Camping is not a contracting party and is not responsible for these services.

7. Limitation of liability

Gökaskratts Camping is not liable for:

Damage to guests' property (including vehicles)
Personal injury caused by guests' own negligence
Lost or stolen valuables
Interruptions to services due to planned maintenance or force majeure
Price changes or changes to what we offer

Our liability is limited to the maximum amount covered by our liability insurance.

8. Intellectual property

All content on the website, including text, images, logos and design, is protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights belonging to Gökaskratts Camping or our partners.

Copying, distributing or using material from the website without our written permission is prohibited.

9. Disputes and applicable law

Disputes shall primarily be resolved through negotiation. If a dispute cannot be resolved through negotiation, it shall be settled by a Swedish court under Swedish law.
